Air Canada, recently ranked Best Airline in North America, is currently looking for Station Attendants to join our ground handling team at the Toronto Airport.
We are looking for result oriented, reliable and highly adaptable individuals that enjoy tackling various tasks in a team setting environment. Whether handling baggage or freight, or operating complex loading equipment, the Station Attendants play a key role in ensuring that the aircraft are ready for a secure and on-time departure.
This is a permanent part-time position which can be scheduled up to a maximum of 32 hours per week. The current salary is $14.00/hr as per the collective agreement.
Responsibilities:
• Drive and operate ramp-servicing vehicles and equipment.
• Marshal or tow aircraft to gate positions for passenger boarding and deplaning and for loading and unloading of cargo and passenger baggage.
• On-load/off-load cargo and passenger baggage.
Qualifications
• Available for shift work and irregular work hours- early mornings, evenings, weekends and statutory holidays.
• Able to lift heavy objects unaided and repetitively weighing up to 70 pounds (32 kilograms).
• Willingness to work under various climatic conditions.
• Capacity to work within strict timelines in order to maintain on-time departures while ensuring safety at all times.
• Eligible to work in Canada.
• Possess a valid driver’s license (G or G2).
• Available to attend a 2-4 weeks full time mandatory training.
• Pass security clearance and obtain the Transport Canada security card.
• Employees in this role, conduct safety-critical work and as such, Air Canada medical standards must be met in order to qualify for the role. Candidates will be subject to a medical evaluation, including a drug and alcohol test and are expected to be free of any intoxicating substances.

Manager, Cargo HUB IT – Toronto – 22024

- Provide guidance, direction and recommendations related to proposed warehouse management systems
- Lead the technical review and selection of new applications and manage the project implementation support.
- Establishment of software configuration and trouble shooting, including the modification of workflows, forms and the application of standard protocols;
- Manage a team of 4-6 people
- Manage and control the budget
- Build solid partnerships and lead coordination between Cargo, vendors, and AC departments including IT, Strategic Procurement, and others across the organization.
- Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies that may be advantageous to Air Canada.
- Ongoing development of new projects related Cargo HUB Operations as well as to other mainline Ground and Flight Operations initiatives.
- Leadership of projects and initiatives related to allocated portfolios.
- Communication and coordination of the requirements and integration points related to initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for efficiencies and cost reductions through new technology and/or the leveraging technology across the organization.
- Manage strategic, tactical, and technical relationships with key suppliers/vendors.
- Providing support for a multitude of Operational Systems, with respect to all aspects related to the ground systems required for ground to air communications;
- Support other IT systems, functions or initiatives as appropriate within the greater Cargo IS portfolio in order to optimize and integrate the technology plans across the organization.
